Ramesh Bala tweeted, "A True Indian Epic Movie of International Standards. Screenplay, Acting, Emotions, Action Seqs & Music – Outstanding." Bookmyshow has said that 12 tickets of Baahubali 2 are being sold every second. In Delhi, the earliest you can book tickets for the film is May 3 with everything going houseful for the next four days. Earlier, Bookmyshow had confirmed that Baahubali 2 had broken the advance booking record previously held by Aamir Khan's Dangal. Mammootty’s 'The Great Father' is the biggest hit of 2017

The Mammootty starrer, The Great Father has turned out to be the biggest hit this year till date. The film, released on March 30th in 202 screens with 958 shows, has crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark and is still marching ahead at the box office. Directed by Haneef Adeni, the film has been produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Santosh Sivan, Arya and Shaji Nadesan under the banner August Cinema. While Mammootty plays the lead role in the film, it also has Arya, Sneha, Anikha, Malavika Mohanan, Miya George, Kalabhavan Shajon, Santhosh Keezhatoor and I.M Vijayan in the star cast. Vellimoonga director Jibu Jacob’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol has a down-to-earth protagonist – a panchayat secretary named Ullahanan (Mohanlal) who is so bogged down by the daily grind that he is oblivious to extract happiness out of his life. However, a college reunion takes him back to a few decades, wanting him to fall in love again. And as he does, he finds excitement and renewed vigour to enjoy everything he took for granted in his life – his wife, children, friends and job.
