Baahubali 2 box office collection day 1: With Rs 100 cr opening day

Confusions, rather than revelations, are awaiting the audience as Lal Jose opens the book of revelations. Confusion on what the filmmaker was aiming at – a typical superstar movie? A campus movie? A thriller? Or a mish-mash of it all to make some noise during the festival season? Confusion, on why the lead character is behaving the way he does, towards the end. What is served up as an explanation, a back story from his younger days, only adds to the confusion. Even the college campus, where much of the action happens in Velipadinte Pusthakam, has a confused existence. It is introduced to us as a present-day campus, but the happenings inside reminds us of the eighties or nineties.To this campus comes Michael Idikkula (Mohanlal), to take over as the Vice Principal, following the suspension of Prem Raj (Salim Kumar). The film has just hit screens The much-awaited Amal Neerad - Dulquer Salmaan film 'Comrade in America' has hit screens and going by the half-time reports, the movie has an engaging first that serves enough of politics and romance. It has action, comedy and drama and is substantiated with a decent plot. And what's more, you can lookout for those 3 renowned comrades who make a special appearance! The 134-minute long film starts off as a politically-charged movie taking cues from recent events but quickly develops into a coming-of-age tale of its protagonist Aji Mathew (Dulquer Salmaan). Aji is a socially responsible youth, a communist, who goes the whole nine yards - be it digging graves for the social outcast or taking on rowdy bus drivers for harassing college youth. Weaved in is a love story between Aji and Sarah (Karthika Murali) that also serves as a major plot point. Dulquer puts on a mature performance, the intro scenes are power-packed and oozes charm...
