Mammootty’s 'The Great Father' is the biggest hit of 2017
The Mammootty starrer, The Great Father has turned out to be the biggest hit this year till date. The film, released on March 30th in 202 screens with 958 shows, has crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark and is still marching ahead at the box office. Directed by Haneef Adeni, the film has been produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Santosh Sivan, Arya and Shaji Nadesan under the banner August Cinema. While Mammootty plays the lead role in the film, it also has Arya, Sneha, Anikha, Malavika Mohanan, Miya George, Kalabhavan Shajon, Santhosh Keezhatoor and I.M Vijayan in the star cast. In the film, Mammootty gets back to his macho image that his fans have been missing for so long. It is touted to be one of the reasons for the film's success at the box office.
