Baahubali 2 box office collection day 1: With Rs 100 cr opening day

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh earlier wrote, "Reports pouring in from across the country: #Baahubali2 is a GAME CHANGER… Sea of people outside theatres… House Full boards are back!" Confusions, rather than revelations, are awaiting the audience as Lal Jose opens the book of revelations. Confusion on what the filmmaker was aiming at – a typical superstar movie? A campus movie? A thriller? Or a mish-mash of it all to make some noise during the festival season? Confusion, on why the lead character is behaving the way he does, towards the end. What is served up as an explanation, a back story from his younger days, only adds to the confusion. Even the college campus, where much of the action happens in Velipadinte Pusthakam, has a confused existence. It is introduced to us as a present-day campus, but the happenings inside reminds us of the eighties or nineties.To this campus comes Michael Idikkula (Mohanlal), to take over as the Vice Principal, following the suspension of Prem Raj (Salim Kumar). Baahubali 2’s 6th Week Box Office Collections – India & Overseas Update

S.S. Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (Hindi) has set huge benchmarks at the box office. Despite new releases, the magnum opus has managed to rake in 4.75 crores in its 6th week at the domestic market. The film's Hindi version currently stands with a grand total of 505.93 crores nett in India. Baahubali 2 Hindi should end its theatrical run around 510 crores at the box office. Apart from becoming the highest grosser of all time, Baahubali 2 (Hindi) has also become the most profitable film of the year. Acquired at the cost of 90 crores (including 10 crores on P and A), the film has made a whopping profit of 415.93 crores, which takes its profit percentage to 462.14%. The film has set a huge benchmark at the box office with 728.53 crores gross (505.93 crores) collection solely from Hindi version, whereas 625.76 crores gross in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions.
